If your heart is full, so too will be your coffers.
Gratitude does not magically transform the crap of life into gold like some mystical Philosopher’s Stone. But it does let you find the gold in the etrash, the recyclable metals in the garbage, and the nutrients to grow as a flower among the garbage.
When you appreciate the gift of having another day, you find a way to make the best of it. And like the plant growing in the crack of the rock, you survive and thrive and eventually bear fruit because you are thankful for each drink of water or ray of sunshine or breeze that strengthens you.
Open your heart and your eyes will open to the possibilities that others don’t see in their miserly squinting.
