Laugh at Yourself

“Keep your sense of humor.  There’s enough stress in the rest of your life not to let bad shots ruin a game you’re supposed to enjoy.”  Amy Alcott

Golf like life is a funny game.  I mean, look at those pants!

Even the best flub it occasionally.  It is the ability to laugh at the absurd bounce that determines if someone will crack or crack up and move on, shaking their head and having a story to tell in the 19th Hole before coming back to play again the next day.

Those who exhibit humor tend to exhibit an ability to bounce back and swing away again.  You’re going to have bad shots on the course and in life; the question is whether you let the previous hole’s double bogey carry over to the next tee box or not.
