“Fantasy is escapist, and that is its glory. If a soldier is imprisoned by the enemy, don’t we consider it his duty to escape?”
JRR Tolkien
Life is not all rainbows, but rather a series of storms with interludes of calm and some sun.
Viktor Frankl talked about the prisoners in his concentration camp stopping to watch a fleeting rainbow, the greatest beauty appearing for a moment in their horrible, Hellish world.
Take the moments of beauty. Appreciate them for the transitory beauty, the temporary reprieve from the grinding of life.
Just know that you can’t live in the fantasy, but you can improve your reality.
