The Price of Free

“May we think of freedom not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to what is right.” -Peter Marshall

When you have a free day, do you lay on the couch all day, or do you get up and take care of the errands and chores early so that you can then go and enjoy the rest of the day, conscious clear because you did what you needed to do so that you can now do what you want to do?

Whether it is leaving the dishes on the table (then in the sink) or going out and voting, we have the ability to choose many things in our lives.  But if we just do what we please without an eye to the consequences and the impact on others, we deteriorate into a Lord of The Flies level of chaos instead of reaching our potential by doing what we know to be right.
