As the Scottish psychologist Laing pointed out: lies interacting with lies cannot build a lasting or meaningful connection. Especially when one of the parties has no True Self but is empty all the way to their soul, so all they have is lies.
In fact, to these people the lie is all that matters. Maintaining the illusion to get their attention and supply until they suck it all from the other party, or find a shinier new toy that will give them their fix.
Beware of these psychic vampires. All that matters to them is their illusion of excellence.
