Power of The Dark

“My dark days made me stronger. Or maybe I already was strong, and they made me prove it.” — Emery Lord

40 miles into an ultramarathon is too late to try and build reserves of strength, it is time to tap into the ones you have.

Having a special needs child does not make you better.  It is exhausting and often pushes you to the edge, but someplace inside you find the strength to keep fighting for them.

Loving the addict is draining, and only by having the deep well of belief and love will get you and them through the dark days and nights.

You have the power in you, not in the moment of need but from accumulating it in all the moments before that you amassed it by doing the difficult things and investing in doing the difficult things that make you stronger for those times of trouble later.
