Rarely is something that comes easy worth it, while the things that take the most effort are the most valuable in the end.
That which is easily won is just as easily lost, and that which is given freely will be freely given to another.
Whether it is the client that took years to acquire that then exhibits a high degree of loyalty, or the romantic partner where the relationship developed over time and through great difficulty, or the skills as a musician and the fame after grinding in small clubs for years and years, that which is bought with sacrifice and personal growth is more lasting and sweeter than the cheap and easy.
