Evil will always end up turning upon itself in a self-destructive manner. If you use its tools to fight the darkness, you will become it because as Nietzsche said if you stare into the abyss long enough it stares into you. If you descend into darkness to fight it, the darkness will enter you and corrupt you like the One Ring in Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. Only purity and light can dispel and destroy this darkness of the soul.
Love thy enemy.
Peace to overcome violence.
Empathy to neutralize hate.
Hope overcoming despair.
Light the candle in your self, let it burn bright and push back the shadows in others.
