“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.” Benjamin Franklin
The best way to turn a kid off from reading is to force them to read boring writing about something that they don’t care about.
Engage them with stories of swashbucklers and dragons and fairies though and they will become addicted.
Give them well crafted stories, writing that draws them in and engages them and they will desire more.
Tell them tales that keep the listeners fascinated and begging to hear more.
This is the essence of communication, be it on the page or in person. Tell a great tale, and tell it well.
