Maybe = Never

“Maybes never are.”
― Anne McCaffrey, Dragonsong

The root of the word “decision” is “to cut off”, to cut off the branches of the infinite potential futures and to choose an actuality, the reality that you will live in.  All those other branches that have been trimmed from existence exist only in the mind, in the “maybes” and scenarios we play out in our fantasies.

“Maybe” is a weak concept, an ephemeral vision with no substance because there is no belief giving it form and power.  “I will” solidifies the maybe into something of significance through a decision.

Exhibit will, eliminate dead branches of potentiality, forget their seductive illusions, and execute on bringing what you truly want to fruition.

Decide.  Then do.
