“No man needs a vacation so much as the man who has just had one.” – Elbert Hubbard
Anyone that has taken their kids to Disney knows that vacations are not restful. There is constant movement and exploration and diligence required because the greater the vacation the more stress.
In addition to the planning and preparation and travel and then packing and returning, there is the disruption and actually trying to squeeze in some enjoyment. The new environment presents new opportunities and stimulation (especially difficult with special needs kids but not easy with any child) and a temporary suspension of some rules which for some reason they believe applies to ALL rules as the kids think it is Lord of the Flies or something.
Yeahhh, I need a day off to recover from the days off where I worked even harder than usual.
