The Work of Play

“It should be noted that the games of children are not games, and must be considered as their most serious actions.” – Michel de Montaigne

Fair play.

Teamwork.

Resilience.

Creativity.

Forgiveness.

Acceptance.

The job of a child is to become a functional member of society and eventually a good and contributing adult.  And their workplace is the play place, the games they play.  Let them play more, because these lessons are learned better with scraped knees outside than sitting at a desk.
