Does Not = Can Not

“The man who does not read good books is no better than the man who can’t.” Mark Twain

If you can do something and choose not to do so, you are no better than the ignorant that know no better.

Choosing to not grow results in the same result as those who can not chose.

Knowing right from wrong and choosing wrong is actually worse than not knowing the difference. The doctor that smokes, or the attorney that knowingly violates the law, are worse than the person that doesn’t know better. There is a higher standard we should hold.

You can read.

You SHOULD read.

Choosing not to is willfully harming yourself and your family because you do not improve yourself and lay the groundwork for them.

Being willfully and functionally illiterate is a poor choice.
