“Trust is built with consistency.” Lincoln Chafee
One of the primary factors in developing trust is reliability. If your kid is supposed to take out the garbage and doesn’t do so as often as they do it, you probably aren’t willing to bet the life savings that the job was done.
If your kid always does their homework and fails a class because all of their homework is missing, who gets the benefit of the doubt; the brand-new teacher or the kid with the perfect track record in every other class that stretches over years?
If your significant other has a history of leaving the refrigerator door open, you start checking it before bed just because of the past record.
Trust is like winning, it is not a sometimes thing it is an every time thing.
