Forgiven

“Until we have seen someone’s darkness, we don’t really know who they are. Until we have forgiven someone’s darkness, we don’t really know what love is.”  – Marianne Williamson

Until you have walked through the rough patches together it is not love, it is mere infatuation.

Until they have broken you and then put you back together as a human kintsugi, you are not truly beautiful nor strong.

Until they have fallen and you have helped them up, and they have done the same for you, it is impossible to know you can rely upon each other.

Until you have lost the light, you cannot understand the void.  But once you have been in that darkness and returned, the brightness is heavenly and empowering in ways you could not previously conceive.
