My Cup Runneth Over

“When asked if my cup is half-full or half-empty my only response is that I am thankful I have a cup.”  Sam Lefkowitz

“I was unhappy that I had no shoes.  Then I saw a man with no feet.”  Not sure who said that but it has resonated with me for decades, because I am still alive so I am still fighting.

“Dum spiro spero” is a Latin saying that can not be traced to any particular person, but echoes today still.  “While I breathe, I hope.”

If you can get up, you can do something to improve your situation.  And if you are appreciative of just being alive, you can move forward knowing that it will hurt, you can take the little risks needed to get better without fear of losing.  Having a cup means you can receive all the good things, and is enough to start.
