“Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Some people destroy their credibility even if they have a well-researched and logical argument because they become overly emotional or can’t connect the pieces in a way that the audience can get. I have seen this happen hundreds of times.
Worse yet is when someone violates the principles that they espouse to try and win. There is no right way to do a wrong thing, and the ends do not justify the means because you lose allies and the moral high ground when you cross the ethical lines.
Be honest in your dealings, and fight your battles with integrity and within the spirit of honor. Maintain your reputation and integrity, and your battles will be easier later because you have a clear conscience and attract others to your cause with your noble actions, even if others are cheating to grab temporary victories.
