It’s muddy out.
The ground is gross.
There is still grey, intermingled with the shades of brown all over.
And then.
Then there is a little shoot, a spark of green against the dull dirt.
And that spark lights a flame of life, of green growing goodness that spreads, lightening the ground and spirit and brightening our days and souls.
The first bits of color are the most needed and spectacular.
