“Springtime is the land awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn.” — Lewis Grizzard
The early morning light slowly pushes the darkness away. The sky brightens and the birds warble as the world stirs after its months long slumber.
The animals start to awake from their hibernation, as do people too long asleep in the darkness of winter’s chill. There is a gentle warmness in the air, the edge of ice gone after months cutting through the skin.
The earth groans and stretches as it awakens, a new dawn for all.
Awake, and arise!
