Life Cycle

“Things change. And friends leave. Life doesn’t stop for anybody.”
― Stephen Chbosky

The world lost many notable individuals last year.

Many of us lost people of note in our lives, whether through death or cognitive decline or choices that manifested themselves in actions leading to separation and loss.

It was literally the worst, most stressful year of my life.  Maybe yours wasn’t as bad, or maybe it was even worse.

And yet it was just another year.

The Earth revolved around the sun.  There were wars, and children were born.  Companies were created and others folded, and people came into our lives and others left.

This is the way of the world.

It has been going this way for thousands of years and will do so for thousands more.  This might terrify some, but the cycle of time has always been a salve balm to farmers and those connected to nature.  We grow and change but some things do so so slowly as to be seemingly eternal, and that helps us all deal with the good days and bad ones because another day is coming tomorrow.  Neither time nor life stops, and that is part of their beauty.
