Complacency Kills

“It’s always a wake-up call to get beaten.”  -Usain Bolt

The monster Mike Tyson was beaten.

The American Dream Team lost in basketball.

Complacency leads to sloppiness and laziness, and a loss could be the best thing possible for long-term success because it prevents you from ever sitting back on your laurels ever again.

Losing sucks.  Especially when you are expected to win.

But a loss is not the end, it should be the kick in the pants to get back to work harder, to innovate and improve.  To feel that bitter sting and fear that more than effort or exhaustion in the pursuit of winning again.

Use the setback as a springboard to new heights.
