“America is another name for opportunity.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Immigrants have come to America’s shores for hundreds of years based upon the promise of building a better life. Not through handouts, but the chance to control their own destiny and build a better life for themselves and their family.
And building requires effort. You don’t show up on the shores of the US and get a bag of money and a pickup truck. It is more like a plot of land that needs to be tilled and planted and hopefully harvested. There are few guarantees, but ask almost any refugee and they will tell you it is much better and safer and hopeful than where they came from.
Don’t waste your opportunity.
