Bad Shots, Good Outcomes

“Golf is about how well you accept, respond to, and score with your misses much more so than it is a game of your perfect shots.”  Dr. Bob Rotella

Even the best golfers only hit a handful of perfect shots in a round.  It is what they do with the suboptimal ones that determines who makes the cut or not.

And it is not the number of great shots in the tournament that determines the winner; it is how they play the next ball after the not great shot because this happens far more often than even the pros like to admit.  The ultimate outcome is not determined by the best shots but how resilient the player is to bad bounces.
