“For things to reveal themselves to us, we need to be ready to abandon our views of them.”  Thich Nhat Hanh

We see the world not as it is, but as we are.  Our internal filters and biases shade what we see, anywhere from rosy to grey.  This is us imposing ourselves upon the world.

Events happen.  The rain that a farmer craves the back yard party planner curses.  Yet the water is still wet and chemically identical for each of them.  Whose interpretation is right?

Both and yet neither.  Abandon your interpretation of events and you will find the opportunity to accept and utilize them, happy to be able to merely be and experience.
